Exodus 17:8-19:6
We aren't meant to carry our burdens alone.
We see the perfect example in Moses's father-in-law Jethro. He celebrates with Moses all that God is done, but he also counsels Moses on the importance of sharing the burden with those who are able to help carry the load.
More than that, Moses points us to our need for an even greater Counselor, one would carry the burden in our place, Jesus Christ.
As we dive into the book of Exodus together as a church, we will see that the people of God have always had challenges. Every generation has faced a different wilderness, but the God who never changes has always led them through it.
