Care Happens in Community

Care starts in community. In Exodus 18 and Ephesians 4, care is shared among God’s people, not shouldered by one leader, professional, or team. Every believer is called and equipped to speak the truth in love and help bear burdens together.

Care is a Ministry of the Word and Spirit

Abiding in Christ is both the primary means and the goal of care. Through prayer, the Word, and the Spirit, we experience lasting heart change and maturity in Christ.

Care is Holistic and Redemptive

We aim to care for the whole person: mind, body, and spirit. We desire to address the whole story by looking at circumstances, choices, sin, and suffering. We believe that God redeems every part of us.

Restore

God’s story reframes every part of your story.

Restore is a seasonal, group-based care and discipleship experience that guides you to slow down, reflect, and reframe your life in light of God’s redemptive story. Through community, Scripture, and guided reflection, you’ll grow in spiritual depth, healing, and gospel-fueled hope.

Whether you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or simply want to grow in your ability to disciple and care for others, Restore is for you.

Premarital Counseling & Weddings

Preparing for a lifelong, Christ-centered marriage.

For covenant members of Two Cities, we are pleased to provide premarital counseling as well as an officiant for your wedding upon request. Additionally, we offer a bi-annual marriage preparation course for any couple connected with our church.

Funerals & Loss

Helping those who mourn find God’s grace, comfort, and peace.

If you’ve recently lost a loved one, we want to provide Christ-centered support in your grieving. We can also assist covenant members with planning arrangements for a funeral or memorial service.

Prayer Requests

Praying for God’s kingdom to come in our hearts, lives, city, and world.

At Two Cities, the Community Group is your primary prayer support. If you would also like to share your prayer request with the prayer team and elders, we would be happy to join you in prayer.

How does Two Cities pursue congregational care?

We equip the church to care for one another. Our staff and elders guide and support, but the work of care happens primarily in Community Groups and ongoing relationships (Eph. 4:12).

What if I am not in a Community Group?

To provide the foundation for your ongoing care and discipleship through Two Cities, we’d love to help you begin the process of connecting with a Community Group.

Do you offer professional counseling?

While we don’t have a dedicated counseling ministry, we do help connect people to trusted gospel-centered counselors when needed or requested.

Can I meet with a pastor or elder?

Yes! The best first step is sharing the need with your Community Group leader. They can facilitate a connection with the elder who supports your group and is already praying for you.

What if I’m grieving, in crisis, or struggling with addiction?

You’re not alone. We encourage you to connect with your Community Group and let them know what support they can provide as you pursue additional resources. We can recommend numerous local resources, such as GriefShare, Celebrate Recovery, Carolina Center for Recovery, and Re: Generation.

How do I request additional support?

If you have any other questions, we would love to help you! To get started, please fill out the Care and Counsel Request Form.
